	International Exchange Activities

“I would like to participate in a Japanese language class.” Nihongo kyoshitsu ni sanka shitai no desuga. “I would like to obtain informational material for foreign residents.” Gaikokujin-muke johoshi ga hoshiino desuga.

The following internationalization activities are conducted not only to promote international exchange, but also to create a comfortable environment for foreign residents living in Kawaguchi City

Consultation Services for Foreign Residents

Information related to Japanese-language classes, administrative services and everyday living, as well as simple consultation on matters in everyday life, are available at Kawaguchi Citizen’s Partner Station.

Japanese Language Classes

The classes teach the basics of the Japanese language, as well as Japanese culture and customs. There are both municipal and volunteer-sponsored classes. Courses are available year-round.

CUPOLA (Newsletter for Foreign Residents)

This newsletter includes news related to Kawaguchi City , practical information for daily life in Japan , information on local events, and more. With the cooperation of volunteer staff members, the Cupola is issued four times a year. Written mainly in English and simple Japanese, it also includes some Chinese, Korean and Portuguese

Intercultural Understanding Workshops

Japanese-speaking lecturers are invited to speak about their country's customs, education and other topics with residents in a friendly meeting style.
