Parking your bicycle on the street is prohibited within an approximate 400-meter radius of Kawaguchi, Nishi-Kawaguchi, Warabi, Higashi-Kawaguchi, Tozuka-Angyo, Araijuku and Kawaguchi-Motogo stations. Bicycles and motorbikes parked on the street will be removed. There is a fee for reclaiming your vehicle. Any person who rides a bicycle to the station for commuting to work or to school should use a municipal or private parking lot near the station. This program offers compensation for members involved in traffic accidents. The yearly membership fee is ¥500 for adults, and ¥300 for junior high school students or younger children. The amount of compensation depends on the degree of injury or damage, ranging from ¥15,000 to ¥1 million. A foreign resident may subscribe as long as he/she has an alien registration card. This program offers compensation for children sustaining injuries in any accident (excluding those covered by the "Law for the National Agency for the Advancement of Sports and Health") other than traffic accidents. The yearly membership fee is ¥400 (the city pays ¥200 while the individual picks up the remaining ¥200). The amount of compensation depends on the degree of injury or damage, ranging from ¥15,000 to ¥700,000. A foreign resident younger than 18 years old may subscribe as long as he/she has an alien registration card.
