Dorobo desu.  
  There has been a theft. Dorobo desu.
Kotsu jiko desu.

Kaji desu.

  We need an ambulance here now. Kyukyusha o yonde kudasai.

  Someone is seriously injured. Kega desu.
Soto ni deraremasen.  
  We cannot get out. Soto ni deraremasen.
Hinan basho wa doko desuka.

Jusho wa XX desu.  
  My address is XX. Jusho wa XX desu.
Namae wa XX desu.

* It is a good idea to practice these Japanese emergency expressions regularly.
* When dialing the police (110) or the Fire Department (119), you should calmly give the proper information in the following order:

  1. What has happened
  2. Location or address
  3. Your name and telephone number

Police 110 Keikan o yonde kudasai. = We need a police officer here now.
Ambulance 119 Kyukyusha o yonde kudasai. = We need an ambulance here now.
Fire 119 Kaji desu. = There's a fire.
Provide your address, name and telephone number in Japanese.

  1. Address: Jyusho wa .........................................desu.
  2. Name: Namae wa ........................................ desu.
  3. Phone: Denwa-bango wa ..............................desu.

* It is a good idea to practice these Japanese emergency expressions regularly, and to keep a copy of the essential expressions in a handy place close to the phone.
