	Nursery Schools and Kindergartens

Nursery Schools

Nursery schools are child welfare facilities which provide day care for children on behalf of parents or guardians. Those who may use these facilities are limited to those households with parents who cannot provide sufficient day care because they are employed, ill or taking care of a newborn.
As a rule, day care hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. However, depending on the family situation, extended care hours may be approved.

Kindergartens

Kindergartens are educational facilities targeted for pre-schoolers ages three to five . There are public and private kindergartens. Inquiries concerning public kindergartens should be directed to the Board of Education. Applications are accepted every year from around November and are accepted at each kindergarten.
