Welfare Services Offered by the Kawaguchi City Social Welfare Council through Resident Participation

Household Chore Assistance Service (Remunerated Volunteers)

This mutual assistance program is conducted with the participation and cooperation of city residents. Cooperating members (volunteers) visit the homes of the elderly, the disabled, the injured/ill and expectant/new mothers who are unable to do housework and for whom it is difficult to obtain support from family members, and they help with simple household chores for a nominal fee.

Program: Housecleaning, laundry, shopping, cooking and assistance when going to the hospital, outdoors, etc.

In addition, there are the following services.

Meal Service

Nursing Equipment Subsidy Service

Wheelchair Rental Service

Welfare Vehicle Rental Service

These programs are funded by membership fees and donations that support social welfare council programs, and users are considered members. When using these services, please show your membership card and receipt.

Individual (Household) Membership Fee: ¥1,000 per year

Catastrophic Illness and Loans for Childbirth Costs Program

Citizens who have difficulty paying their high medical expenses or childbirth costs can apply for a loan. Those who are the head of their household, have resided in Kawaguchi City , and subscribe to National Health Insurance or Social Insurance are eligible.
