Never dispose of trash in places other than the designated locations. Not only will you be fined, you will also lose the trust of your neighbors

Trash Collection

The locations of collection stations and pickup days are determined by local area. Ask a neighbor or the Waste Management Division or Refuse Collection Division of City Hall for further information. Dispose of trash by 8:30 a.m. on the designated day.

Household Trash

General Trash

Please place items in a transparent bag or white semi-transparent bag and dispose of on the designated collection day at the general trash collection station.

Hazardous Trash (Fluorescent Lights and Mercury Thermometers)

Please place these items in a transparent bag, write "" (Hazardous Trash) on the bag and dispose of on the same day as for general trash, placing it at the general trash collection station, separately from the general trash.

Dry-Cell Batteries (Excluding Button-type Batteries and Rechargeable [Secondary] Batteries)

Please dispose of dry-cell batteries (excluding button-type batteries and rechargeable [secondary] batteries) directly in one of the “designated boxes” found at trash collection sites in public facilities in the city. No bag is necessary.

Recyclable Resources

• Bottles, Cans, Metal Items (items up to 40 cm in size), PET Bottles and Fabrics
  Separate items according to type, place them in a transparent bag and dispose of on the designated collection day at the recyclable resource collection station.
• Cartons, Newspapers, Magazines, Miscellaneous Paper, Cardboard, Paper Containers/Wrapping
  Separate items according to type, bundle with string, and dispose of the bundles on the designated collection day at the recyclable resource collection station.
• Plastic Containers/Wrapping
  Please place these items in a transparent bag and dispose of on the designated collection day at the general trash collection station.

Bulky Refuse (Items larger than 40 cm on any side)

Please call 251-1111 to make an appointment for bulky refuse collection.You will be given information on how to pay the collection/transportation fee, the collection date and place. Also, please note that the city does not collect automotive parts, the four electric home appliances specified by law for recycling (cathode-ray TV sets, air conditioners, washing machines, refrigerators/freezers and personal computers) and other items that are difficult to handle. Please consult your local retailer concerning these items.
